Taiwan’s tourism train “Mingri Kitchen” has won multiple international design awards, including Japan’s pioneering Good Design Award for sightseeing trains. Commissioned by Taiwan Railways, the train was led by design director Chiu Po-wen of Po-Cheng Design, with carriages fully refurbished to break from tradition and introduce fresh ideas. Inspired by “the autumn wind,” it applies minimalist aesthetics, reimagining the 70-year-old Juguang Express into an all-new travel experience.
